THE
GOSPEL
The Gospel is not advice or suggestion; it is news, good news about what has been done and more importantly what God has done through Jesus.
Every September, a huge ship comes over from Asia full of gifts and decorations for a huge UK Christmas. Before the ship returns East, the now empty containers are packed with the contents from the rubbish bins in the UK.
It's like the swap at the Cross because Jesus loves us so much we can give Him all of our rubbish (the Bible calls it sin) - the stuff we are ashamed of - all our garbage. Jesus then takes it away, and in return gives forgiveness, love, joy, peace, hope and eternity with God.

GOSPEL 101
TIPS ON SHARING THE GOSPEL
BE YOURSELF
Be authentic - people need to see and know that you are real!
DON'T USE CHRISTIAN JARGON
Instead of 'sin' try 'our mess/mistakes/wrongdoing', instead of 'saved' try 'being right with God.
HAVE YOUR STORY READY
Make the most of impromptu conversations. (1 Peter 3:15)
BE AWARE OF WHERE SOMEONE IS IN THEIR JOURNEY
They may not be ready to ask Jesus into their life yet but you'll be sowing a seed!
TAKE INTEREST IN THE PERSON
What is going on in their life? What is important to them?
DON'T WIN THE BATTLE WITH ARGUMENT
You are trying to breakdown barriers so that this person is closer to understanding that there is a God who loves them deeply.
